What is it with underwear?

underwear pantiesThis is something that has been bothering me for quite some time now. What is it with underwear and designs? I mean, I see a lot of underwear that has really awesome and cute designs but what's the point of putting them there? It's not like you're going out without pants or skirts on right? The whole world wouldn't be able to see that smart "Eat Me" tagline or that pretty flower print anyway. Underwear are worn under clothes, so why not just print those designs on shirts where they can be ever-so-easily seen?

Different colored panties, I can understand. Bras too. Sexy lingerie can be excused since you probably wear those when you're on a special date with your partner and things heat up as the night progresses. But regular, everyday panties?

So do you wear these kinds of panties? Why?

Christmas Wreaths

Here's an easy Christmas wreath cookie...a great cookie for beginners! This little wreath was the first Christmas cookie I ever tried. It's great on it's own or to add to a Christmas assortment.

  1. Outline the bow in white icing using a #3 tip.
  2. Outline the wreath using the same tip and icing meeting up with the ribbon outline.
  3. Thin red icing to the consistency of syrup and fill in outlined bow using a toothpick to guide into corners. Use a squeeze bottle for easy filling. (AmeriColor Super Red)
  4. Thin green icing and fill in wreath outline using technique above. (Spectrum Leaf Green)
  5. Enjoy! :)
Change it up a bit by outlining the bow in red and wreath in green. Add red berries on the wreath after the green icing has dried at least one hour.

Tips on tips

There are a lot of icing tips to choose from, but for decorating cookies, you only need a few. The tips I use the most are the plain rounded tips...#1, #2 and #3 (the numbers are printed on the tips). Tips 2 and 3 are perfect for piping outlines; the #1 tip is wonderful for personalization and small detail work. It's nice to have a few larger round tips on hand for larger dots. When used with a coupler, seen in the picture, tips can easily be easily changed on the same icing bag.

Flying Free At Sunset Jeans

frankie b. jeansI absolutely love the back pocket design of the Frankie B. Flying Free at Sunset pair of jeans! That dove completing the shape of the heart is absolutely lovely. Well, even the name of this pair of jeans is lovely too... Flying Free at Sunset. Aesthetic, isn't it?

I love wearing jeans that have designs on their pockets, especially when I'm in a good mood. (Otherwise, plain old boring jeans would do.) I find it amazing how they come up with designs like these. Other jean designs from Frankie B. that I liked are:

The magnetic snap-on bag

miche bag
miche bag
miche bagSo has anyone heard about the Miche Bag collection? I've just read about this now so this is my first time knowing that a bag of this kind exists. What makes the Miche Bag unique is that you only need one "base bag" -- the designs, called shells, are purchased individually. The picture above demonstrates how the Miche Bag works. You take the shell off and replace it with another one. It's that easy.

My take on the Miche Bag: I don't like it. I mean, the designs are pretty and all, but there's only one style for the bag itself that comes in two colors: brown and black. I think it's more of a fad than actual fashion. That's just me, of course.

Anyway, here are some of the cute shells Miche has to offer:

Style: Mrs. Beckham's many bags

I just realized, while going through some celebrity blogs, that Victoria Beckham probably has the most number of bags in the whole wide world. Maybe. So now I present you with different pictures of Posh's bags! Take note that she does love Hermes a lot though, evident in these pictures. One thing's for sure though: all her bags are way expensive!

Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 Collection

Today we feature Marc Jacobs' Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection. His designs for this fashion set is surrealist in nature, hence, I think it's a bit on the eccentric side. Check out the pair of shoes one of the models is wearing and you'll see what I mean. Heck, just look at the clothes themselves and you'll see what I mean. They're a bit too much for my taste but you decide.
