Boyish Charm :: New design for fall/winter

I LOVE androgynous fashions... I don't know why. It must stem from my younger tomboy days when my dad used to pick my outfits for grade school (often boys clothes). Nowadays, I find that there's just something about a little bit masculine meets feminine... so sexy! I created a fun new ribbon scarf/tie for the Etsy shop and I have lots more lovely ribbon to whip some more up later this week. It is super unfussy and has a snap closure so you can whip it on or take it off without having to mess around with tying anything. Great for accenting your fall and winter outfits. And gingham print, come on!:

The weather was insane for Biz and Andy's wedding day! One second it was pouring, then drizzling, then it stopped. When I showed up to do get rolling with the photos I wasn't sure if we were going to make it outside...

Biz and Andy decided to see each other before the ceremony. I was so happy they decided to do it! At this time of year it gets dark so fast! Leaves little to no time for photos.

I love Kinney Bungalow! I had been there once as a guest at a wedding. I've been excited to go back ever since.

Apparently sometimes Andy drives a Zamboni! Before the wedding Biz told me that he was excited for the possibility of a tractor shot. I spied this one before they arrived.

This is Biz's nephew and sister. He was pretty tired and a little ticked off that he was going to be with a babysitter all night instead of Mom. Getting in some last hugs before it's time to leave.

Bright & Colourful

It seems I am loving lots of orange lately as noticeable in the shop at the moment. I took this photo this afternoon of our front room at Black & Spiro. There is so much colour in there right now which I love...colour makes me so happy!! Unfortunately this photo isn't the best so make sure you drop into the shop to have a look as it really is looking lovely. Oh, and next week we will be receiving 32 beautiful Black & Spiro cushions in for the shop from our cushion maker in lots of gorgeous mismatched fabrics {including a few vintage fabrics}...perfect for a special Christmas gift!!

A new chilly Bitten By The Bug challenge - a cute penguin

There's change in the air, and not just the seasons! We're changing things up a little bit over at Bitten By The Bug, so be sure and visit to see what is going on! This week, we received an awesome challenge from Carla! She asked us to use this adorable little penguin from the Joys of the Season cartridge. I saw this paper from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses line, and knew I would have to make a pink penguin! What do you think? The card base is cut from Bazzil cardstock and the PP is Basic Grey. The ribbons are Offray and the snowflakes and "let it snow" cut are both from the Winter Woodland cartridge. I used a couple dew drops for her eyes and shaded her tummy with copic markers. Added some machine stitching and one more Christmas card is done! YAY!
