MILES REDD ~ DESIGN IN MANHATTAN

Is there anything left to say about the talented Miles Redd that I haven't already said?  Well I thought not until I ran across this Manhattan home designed by none other than Mr. Redd himself!

If your are not familiar with Miles Redd or his work, I have written enough about his work to fill a book, so if you are interested in learning more, visit the previous posts listed at the end of this piece.  ENJOY!

To read more about this home pick up the April issue of House Beautiful.

MILES REDD IN TEXAS

Well, I don't believe there is anything left for me to say about Miles Redd.  If you visit my blog, you know that I think that Miles is perfectly talented and surpassed by no one.  He is the man of color (I think he dreams in color), lacquer, creativity and design.  The only thing missing is a book, and I certainly hope there is one in the works!

When I received my Veranda today I had to pinch myself.  Was Miles Redd in two publications in one month? Friends, he was! To be honest, I have been waiting on this issue, and I am not disappointed. Ok, enough from me.

The owners of this Houston, Texas home had been admiring the work of Redd for some time before hiring him as the interior designer. Obviously they made a smart decision. The use of brown, and the painted concrete floors which resemble marble are just the tip of the iceberg.   This article is a must read! Maximize your screen for this one, friends. ENJOY!

It is a must that you get your copy of Veranda!  So much in this months issue.  To read and see more about Miles Redd, visit my previous posts here, here, here, here, and here.

See you soon,

Teresa

MILES REDD AND GIL SCHAFER IN NEW YORK

MY HEART JUST SKIPPED A FEW BEATS.  I opened the latest Elle Decor, and what did I see? Miles Redd and Gil Schafer at work together in New York. Not just my favorite interior designer of all time alone, but Redd at work with the great architect Gil Schafer. Need I say more?

When Gil Schafer was asked to design a home for a couple in the Hudson River Valley, he called for Miles Redd to decorate it.  What follows is the result of a match made in real estate heaven.

I will waste no time writing about my admiration for the work of Miles Redd, because if you read my blog, you already know that I AM ONCE AGAIN IN TOTAL BLISS as I write! As you will see, there is a reason for this party going on in my head. Miles Redd is a design genius alone, but along side the talented Gil Schafer?! Too much to comprehend? You be the judge. Be sure you have your screen set on maximum to get the full impact! ENJOY!

I hope that you have enjoyed this post!  To see more of Miles Redd and Gil Schafer, visit previous posts.

To read more about this and other beautiful homes get your copy of the November issue of Elle Decor. It is by far the best Elle Decor I have read!

Good job Michael Boodro!! The entire issue is absolutely beautiful!

See you soon,
Teresa
