I've always regarded T in the Park as the best UK festival and here's why. A few hours ago Blink 182 announced their decision to drop out of the festival, yet we're now greeted with some fantastic new bands to compensate.
The band likely to fill their slot is The Strokes, already headlining Reading festival. Alongside The Strokes TITP have also announced that former Guns n Roses guitarist Slash will now be making appearance, as will Pete Doherty who played the festival last year with Babyshambles. In addition to this T in the Park have also confirmed appearances from Fun Lovin' Criminals, Mona, The Naked & Famous, Jevlin and finally Jenny & Johnny.
As of yet, no news as to what Oxegen plan to do about Blink-182's abscence, although expect a similar array of artists to be announced shortly.
